The first Pakistani animated film “Donkey King” was released in Turkey in the local language on Dec 20, 2019. This is the 4th global release of Pakistan’s highest-grossing animated film.
Donkey King is directed by Aziz Jindani, a Pakistani filmmaker. It was released in Pakistan in October 2018. At the time, the film was a blockbuster hit breaking the records of previously highest-grossing movies.
The movie was released in the local language on 100+ screens across major cities in Turkey.
Donkey King’s story revolves around a story of a Donkey who proves its worth after failing. Jan Mangu, the donkey is the hero of the film.
The voice behind Donkey king was of Pakistani star veteran actor Afzal Khan. Hina Dilpazeer, Adeel Hashmi, Irfan Khoosat are among others who have been lead voice-over artists for the film.
Donkey Raja criticism in Pakistan:
Although the film managed to bag a staggering of 24.5 crores in the first 23 weeks, it was received with a lot of criticism in the Pakistani market.
The idea of Jan Mangu striving his level best in fulfilling the dream to become king one day, related to some of that time political scenario.

Recently the Pakistan Television also announced to air Turkey’s famous Ertugral drama series in Urdu. The drama series is yet to be translated and it can be expected to air in the year 2020.
Imran Khan, Tayyab Erdogan & Dr. Mahatir Muhammad have also agreed to set up a joint TV channel to cater to rising Islamophobia.
