Before his conversion, he was one of the fanatic enemies of Hazrat Muhammad (Saww). It is narrated that once he was on his way to kill Holy Prophet (Saww) that he came to know about his sister and brother-in-law acceptance of Islam, he got furious and went straight to his sister house where he found her reciting the verses of Quran. He slapped his sister who patiently bore, when he got calmed, he asked her to show him the verses of the Quran, she read out the following verse: “Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.” Quran [20:14]
