PCB reschedules PSL 2020: Replaces play-offs with semi finals

On Friday, PCB announced the new schedule for PSL 2020 replacing play-offs with semi finals. According to new schedule, the final will now be played on March 18 instead of March 22.

Here is the new PSL schedule for 2020:

1st Semi Final – 17th March 2020 @ 2Pm in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore

2nd Semi Final – 17th March 2020 @ 7Pm in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore

English players decide quitting PSL matches amid coronavirus fears:

Fearing the pandemic coronavirus, many countries are closing their borders and ending flight operations. Fearing that same could go between Pakistan & England, 15 English players playing PSL matches have decided to immediately return to their country.

Currently, Jason Roy, Moeen Ali, James Vince, Tom Banto, Alex Hales & Chris Jordan will leave the earliest, followed by remaining players of England.

PCB has also requested Federal Government to arrange for players safe travel to England.

PCB to conduct PSL 5 matches in Karachi behind closed doors:

In a match between Karachi Kings & Lahore Qalandars, PCB CEO made an important announcement regarding remaining PSL matches.

While giving interview to Erin Holland, he said, “Following instruction from Sindh Government regarding Crona Outbreak, we have decided to play remaining matches in Karachi behind closed doors”.

This means that the matches will be played as per the schedule however, no audience in stadium would be allowed.

Regarding, the matches in Lahore, as many play-off matches including final are to be played in Lahore, He said, “We are in talks with Punjab Government & in 24 hours, we will announce the status for those matches as well”.
